TX Cop Found Passed Out Drunk in Middle of Road in Truck “Punished” with Five Day Suspension; Will Remain Police Officer

In November of last year (2016), Officer Michael Morin of the Robstown Police Department was arrested after someone reported in a 911 call that there was a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a truck parked in the middle of the road. Morin was still engaged in his drunken power nap when officers arrived at the scene. He subsequently failed a field sobriety test and was booked on a DWI charge then sent off on a paid vacation while the Good Cops running the Robstown Police Department decided how they would sweep it all under the rug.

Four months later, it has now been announced what the results of THAT investigation were. And it went pretty much how you should, by this point, expect it to have (Via KRIStv.com):

The Robstown police officer who was arrested on D.W.I. charges is back at work.

Robstown P.D. officer Michael Morin was arrest on November 6th after he was found slumped over his steering wheel on the road near the Staples and Everhart intersection. On Wednesday, we learned Morin has worked out a deal with the prosecutor’s office and he is taking part in a pre-trial diversion program. If he complies with that program, Morin will have the charge removed from his record.

Meanwhile, the city of Robstown suspended Morin for five days without pay.

Yep, five grueling days of sitting at home without pay after roughly four months of sitting at home while getting paid should teach this yungin’ a lesson he’ll not soon forget (unless he’s black out drunk in his car sleeping on a highway). As for the police chief that swiftly meted out this stiff sentence, he gets where you’re coming from.

Robstown Police Chief Derly Flores:

“I am mindful that I may face scrutiny, but I stand behind my decision to retain this police officer in whom we have invested so much. I believe that he should have a long and successful career with the City of Robstown.”

Considering what a low bar there is for Police Heros to be considered “successful” (former Officer of the Year ring any bells as an intro on this site?) Chief Flores might very well be right about Morin’s future potential. Personally, I’m just glad that he’s basing his decision on how much has been “invested” in Officer Morin and not the laws that they supposedly care so much about enforcing or some wacky sense of fairness or absence of  blatant favoritism toward their Brothas in Blue.

Iowa Police Chief Jeffrey Filloon Indicted For Selling Impounded Cars and Guns Stolen From Evidence

Chief Jeffrey Filloon, who resigned in August 2015 as the police chief in Tama, Iowa, was indicted by a federal grand jury on December 6th. He’s accused of selling several guns that were stolen from the department evidence room, as well as at least four cars that had been impounded. He also was charged with making false statements to an FBI agent during an investigation into the fraudulent sales.

Via the Courier:

Authorities allege Filloon took at least three firearms and four vehicles between August 2013 and March 2015.

One of the weapons, a Mossberg 12-gauge pump shotgun, had been held as evidence and was sold to General Store Pawn and Gun in Marshalltown for $200 in August. 2013.

Later that same month, Filloon sold a .45-caliber Keckler and Hoch UPS pistol to the same shop for $450, court records state. That weapon had been the duty gun of a Tama officer who surrendered it to the department when he retired in 2012.

Another firearm that was being held as evidence, a .44-caliber black powder revolver, was sold to the Marshalltown shop for $75 in Mach (sic) 2014.

Also in March 2014, Filloon allegedly sold a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, a 1994 Ford Econoline F150 van and a 1994 Ford Explorer to Sandhill Auto Salvage for Tama for $650, court records state. He allegedly requested the check be made out to him instead of the city, records state.

That same month, he returned with a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and sold it for $250, claiming it was his person vehicle, record state (sic).

The false statement charges stem from statements Filloon allegedly made to an FBI agent who was investigating the weapons and vehicles in May 2016. He allegedly told the agent a relative of the shotgun’s owner told him he could keep the firearm instead of returning it to a family member, court records state. He also allegedly told the agent he had purchased the Silverado before selling it to the salvage company, records state.

Personally, I’m not sure why people are giving this Hero a hard time about all this. It’s been pretty well established that police evidence lockers are really just a slush fund for hardworking cops and that telling the truth is completely optional under their list of job requirements. This stressed out Good Cop, who was obviously just trying to do his job and following orders, should be reinstated and given some sort of officer of the year award immediately. At least we know he’ll get the typical Policeman’s Discount and in the end won’t have to face any sort of real consequences for his “illegal” actions.

How Police “Heroes” Create Hatred And Disdain Within The Communities They “Serve”

The content for the following post was shared with Nevada Cop Block by Eric Peters, via the CopBlock.org Submissions Page. The video included shows someone, apparently named Bishop A. Copeland (based on the YouTube title), being stopped for a seat belt violation. During that stop, the police decide for some unspecified reason to bring a K9 unit out to attempt to find drugs within his car.

Based on the fact that people living nearby ask if they can take his children home rather than forcing them to sit in the hot car, Copeland apparently lives very close to where the stop occurred. By the midpoint of the video, a group of neighbors have gathered and some of them soon begin questioning and even heckling the police, as does Copeland throughout the video.

In spite of the humorousness of the exchanges between Bishop Copeland and some of the neighbors toward the police, this video is a pretty prime example of how the police first create and then escalate situations which cause both disrespect and open hostility toward police among everyday citizens.

At best, this stop is a case of Revenue Generation and more likely it was simply a tactic of opportunity used to profile someone within a certain neighborhood simply based on their appearance and/or presence within that geographical location and the cops’ arbitrary perception that they don’t belong there or are engaging in some State-prohibited (and often victimless) act there.

Below is the description included with the submission.

Note: The content below has only been edited for spelling errors, typos, etc. and otherwise has been posted as received.

Here’s a video depicting a guy being harassed by three Heroes who appear dressed to invade Poland:

The driver was apparently pulled over for a seat belt “violation” – one of the growing number of petty but tyrannical affronts to our status as (allegedly) free men and women. This became the pretext for Hero #1 to demand that the driver submit to a search of his vehicle for arbitrarily illegal “drugs” (Hero #1 and the other Heroes no doubt consume/partake other arbitrarily legal “drugs,” like alcohol).

They force the man out of his car, then a four-legged Hero is trotted out to suss out the arbitrarily illegal “drugs.” The four-legged Hero is allowed – encouraged – to jump on the guy’s car and scratch it with his got-damned claws. And if, through some process of inter-species dialogue, the four legged Hero “says” he sniffs arbitrarily illegal drugs, the two-legged ones will proceed to tear the car apart looking for them. If they find none, the driver is eventually released and given his now-scratched car back. Hut! hut! hut!

Note that all these Heroes are jacked-up in black military-style web gear, and wear dark sunglasses to add to the Intimidation Factor.

You may be one of those “law and order” types whose reflex is to side with the Heroes – especially given that the victim in this case is a black guy and not particularly articulate.

But – an old song – if they can do this sort of thing to them, they can do it to you, too. All of us are threatened – but many of us do not grok this.

You are a fool if that’s you.

Those white Heroes will be just as happy to do to you what was done to the black guy in this video.

Wake up, wise up.

Along with his submission Eric asks that anyone who is so inclined contribute a donation to his personal website and business. Those donations can be sent via his Donation Page at the EPautos site. Alternatively, you can send a donation to the address listed above. In regard to that request Eric states:

I have a fresh pile of EPautos magnets to send out – and Special Bonus! – anyone who sends in a donation of $30 or more will get a magnet and some stickers, a handful of which I still have laying around.

Thanks in advance (and again) for your help keeping this site viable. It’s not easy making a living as a writer or publisher when you don’t/won’t kiss the ring of the establishment and play for Team Red or Team Blue. This site is a big Up Yours! (or better yet, leave us alone) to both of them. It shows that peaceful, voluntary exchange works. That people are willing to support what they think is worth supporting.

I may not get rich doing this, but it gratifies me daily to know that every cent this site generates was generated non-coercively and without any shuck-and-jive. So, thanks again – to all of you!

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies Cite “Constitutionalists” as a Justification for MRAP Vehicle

The video above and the description below was shared with the CopBlock Network by “General Gonzo S. Patton,” via the CopBlock.org Submission Page. Along with the video description, he states, “I despise this attitude in these Chickenshit Ticket Writers.”

The video was originally posted by Alex JonesInfowars channel on Youtube back in 2014. It features a conversation between an unidentified “local resident” and two Spokane County Sheriff‘s deputies relating to the necessity of having a MRAP military vehicle and whether a group of children, who the deputies state were being given a ride, are being conditioned to accept the militarization of the police.

The deputies’ response to the questioning of the necessity of surplus military vehicles being passed on to local police departments is somewhat interesting. One of them states, “we’ve got a lot of Constitutionalists and a lot of people that stockpile weapons, lots of ammunition. They have weapons here locally.”

I am posting this as someone who taught at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for nine years and when I graduated from the CJTC, I graduated top in my class, carried a badge and actually believed in the motto: Protect and Serve. This is rogue behavior and part of why I retired.

Corruption by Six Philadelphia Drug Cops Cost Taxpayers Over $50 Million

The following post was submitted anonymously, via the CopBlock.org Submissions Page. The case of the six Philadelphia cops discussed in this post has been previously discussed on the CopBlock Network. Those posts can be found here, here, and here.

THOUSANDS of Philadelphia cops were involved in 600-plus dismissed/reversed cases of six narcotics cops (about 1,000 cases in total are to be dismissed/reversed, as per the Public Defender’s Association.) That is because dozens of officers were involved in each of the thousand fake cases, which were scattered throughout the city. For those reasons alone, THOUSANDS of Philadelphia cops are possibly corrupt!

The six referenced officers have cost taxpayers over $30 million (and counting to $50 million-plus) in wasted prosecution costs of over $50,000 per case (including prosecuting attorneys’ fees, court costs, incarceration costs, police compensation, etc.) and corruption/brutality lawsuit settlements.

In May 2015, the six “allegedly” crooked Philadelphia cops were acquitted by a scammed jury. Prosecutors purposefully presented an EXTREMELY weak case in order to vindicate the obviously guilty cops, with whom they had frequently worked to convict possibly innocent people. During the voir dire, prosecutors deliberately selected 11 wealthy suburban whites to be jurors (only one of the 12 jurors picked was black), knowing that such jurors would side with the crooked white cops and disbelieve the mostly black witnesses.

The sole purpose of the “prosecution” was to give the illusion that the police are being policed, while simultaneously allowing the six “allegedly” criminal cops to receive long, paid vacations. Prosecutors intentionally failed to emphasize the real evidence, which is that a staggering 19 victims gave virtually IDENTICAL accounts of their alleged victimizations, which held up even under intense and sophisticated FBI interrogations. Any seasoned lawyer will tell you that it normally takes merely TWO such corroborating witnesses (even convicted felons) to get a conviction. And many of the cops’ HUNDREDS of alleged victims are NOT criminals, contrary to the blatant lies told by prosecutors.

Do not believe the silly police excuse that the 19 witnesses were not credible because they were not completely consistent in their testimony. All witnesses are inconsistent to some degree, and no defendant would ever be convicted if complete consistency was the standard.

Screen-shot-2016-02-04-at-9.56.10-AMThe six “hero” policemen, Thomas Liciardello, Brian Reynolds, Michael Spicer, Perry Betts, Linwood Norman, and John Speiser, have since been rehired with back pay. In other words, as “punishment” for “allegedly” robbing, extorting, assaulting, perjuring, and framing citizens, as well as dealing drugs and stolen property, these six thugs in blue have each received a paid, yearlong vacation! This, despite the fact that they have cost taxpayers over $30 million (and counting) in wasted prosecution fees and lawsuit settlements. One officer, Michael Spicer, has even since promoted to sergeant!

Five of the cop thugs have even filed a laughably frivolous defamation lawsuit against Philadelphia’s mayor, police commissioner, and district attorney. We are sorry, obviously guilty but “allegedly” corrupt cops, but the truth is an absolute defense against libel and slander — and such officials are immune from such civil prosecution — so your case will be dismissed on a summary judgement. Your guilt has already been proven by the civil standard, as per the city solicitor’s de facto admission thereof via lawsuit settlements which he made with some of your “alleged” victims. Said three city officials should countersue these five scumbags in blue for malicious prosecution and other points of law.

Also, taxpayers should file a federal class action lawsuit against the “hero” officers and police union, for fraud and violations under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and other points of law, to recoup their losses. The city’s police force actually wanted to hold a parade for these six obese, vertically challenged losers, calling them “heros”.

Head of Minneapolis Police Union (Only) Fired After Vicious Assault on Handcuffed Prisoner

Officer Blayne Lehner, who was also the elected (by all those Good Cops trying to rout out the Bad Apples within the Twin Cities) director of the Police Officer’s Federation of Minneapolis, has been fired after being named in at least his second major lawsuit involving excessive force and civil rights violations within the past three years.

In this particular instance, Ofc. Lehner brutally kicked a man in the face, who was already handcuffed and sitting in the back of a police car. Not surprisingly, in spite of the massive and undoubtedly permanent damage his attack caused to his victim, Lehner is not facing any sort of charges and his firing is the only sort of repercussions that will result.

Via Fox 9 News:

The most recent lawsuit was filed last August as a result of a traffic stop near this south Minneapolis coffee shop in December 2013.  Lehner is accused of kicking 18-year old Luis Garcia in the face. Garcia was said to be handcuffed and in the back of a squad car at the time.

Garcia’s lawsuit reads in part, “Lehner’s vicious kick broke plaintiff’s jaw; an open fracture causing the bone to protrude through his gums and knocked out his two front teeth.”

It further states that Garcia’s injuries required multiple root canals, his jaw to be wired shut, stitches to his lower lip and severe lingering headaches.

That’s quite the representative the police union has out there in Minneapolis. BTW, Lehner was the second cop from Minneapolis to be fired recently. Previously, Officer Rod Weber was recorded on a suspect’s cell phone threatening to break his leg. The Federation is expected to fight hard to get both of these Heroes back into their magical uniforms as quickly as possible.
